The military coup will be blogged…

(At least until they shut off the net in an hour or two…)

Stirling work from Bangkok Pundit, 2Bangkok, Thai-Blogs, and ignore the pink hearts and multiple exclamation marks, Gnarly Kitty is also putting in a good, stream-of-consciousness show.

Once again, the blogs have more rapid updates than most of the news channels.

Update: Go on then, this is meant to be a Europe-focussed blog. Have a something about the Hungarian riots – Pestiside being quite probably spot on.

Wed update: New Bangkok Pundit liveblog, another liveblog at Brain Farts, and Austin Arensberg has more from the scene in multiple posts, while Jonah has aftermath photos of normality and soldiers on the streets.

Guy on the readio news earlier, insisted it’s not a coup, it’s a pronciamento. Wikipedia says that’s a type of coup, but I seem to recall a clear distinction.

Regardless, the military take over, and everyone’s happy because they’ve got rid of the corrupt undemocratic bastard who rigged the elections?

    Chance’d be a fine thing…

More seriously, quite a few people writing about it on Livejournal
