10,000 job losses could put it in the bag for *Merkel*? What's her slogan, "Labour isn't working"?

And the German blogs are full of comments about Merkel being inspired/copying from (delete as per political affiliation) a speech by Reagan. For those who understand German, the FT Germany has an interesting comment about recycling political speeches.
